Update on ME!!!

Hello all!!!! I know I've been away for a bit! I've been busy doing a little of this & a little of that! heehee!! My niece was a car accident last month, she was hurt pretty bad & is recovering nicely.........thank goodness! I've just been keeping busy with Homeschooling my girls & trying to keep my OFF the fact that I miss my friends Malissa & Leslie something terribly!!! I'll come see ya'll as soon as I can!!!!

Yes, I've been away for a few months. I'm back on the blogging roller coaster!!! Not much has been going on lately.....my parents are trying to get moved up here close to me (they are actually staying with me for the time being).....my Grandmother had heart surgery a couple of weeks ago & one of my lifelong friends lost her brother to a car accident just this past week (his funeral was yesterday)......the girls and I are starting back to Homeschooling tomorrow (wish us luck!!!)

Child Support Nightmare!

Tomorrow I have to make the 4 1/2 - 5 hours drive to my parent's house in Texas. I have to go face my ex-husband in court on Friday because he is $60,000.00 behind in child support. I have not seen him in years......we've both moved on and have remarried & had kids. What I don't understand about the system is this..........Why waste my time, his time & everyone else's time by hauling us into court? We ALL know he's not gonna be able to pay this large amount.....it's been 13 yrs. since he agreed to the child support order......do I even care if I get any money from him??? NO!!! I don't want his money, I don't need his money & I personally don't want to look at his smug face on Friday!!! The court papers say that if he doesn't come to court he will be arrested for contempt.........if he shows up & cannot pay, he goes to jail........my question is........what does putting him in jail accomplish????????? It does nothing for me or my child (who by the way.....HAS a REAL daddy)! The MAN that has raised her from the time she was 1 1/2 yrs. old, fed her, clothed her & LOVED her!!!!!! He would give his life for her!!!! I don't want or need anything my ex has. I had the case closed but the attorney general re-opened it. It's out of my hands now!

A Mother's Nightmare!

Hello all! I'm sorry for not posting in a while, but I needed some down time. 2 weeks ago my oldest daughter (age 14) went missing for nearly an hour! We found her & her friend around 9:45 p.m. walking up a dark alley. I, as a mom, was thinking the worst had happened the whole time we were looking for her. I had so many horrible scenerios running through my mind!!! I was so happy when we found her, but I was angry at the same time for what she put me through!!!! Needless to say, her & her little friend are grounded for 1 month & that includes no phone, no computer & no contact with friends. The real torture for these 2 girls is that they live across the street from each other, they see each other outside & aren't allowed to speak to one another.........it is NOTHING compared to what us moms had to endure for that hour they were missing!!!!!

YES!!! It's here! I received my craft swap all the way from Arizona! I am loving everything that Sweet B sent me. I wish the one I sent her was better now! I absolutely LOVE it Sweet B! Thanks so much!!!

Time to Go Home!

Hey! It's me again!!! I am just now getting time to post a new blog, due to the great demand of the WONDERFUL Girl Scout cookies!!!! In just a few days I will be making my way to Texas, to my hometown to visit with family & friends. I have to leave on Sunday the 15th......which just so happens to be mine & my husband's 12th wedding anniversary. Of course, he has to work that day........so I am going to try to arrange a picnic lunch with him before I leave. He will be staying behind while the kids and I are gone for 2 weeks because he has to work. Although we have never spent that much time apart.........I think I can survive!!!!

My Husband!

My husband and I are coming up on our 12th anniversary! WOW!! Time really does fly! It seems like it was only yesterday that I was sitting in that Wal-Mart breakroom giving him "dirty looks". You know......he & I never went on a date until after we were engaged?! Funny, huh?......We were always working, partying or just hanging out at my place. I always told him that I didn't want to get married to anyone.......ever again......due to the fact that I had been married once before to a total "jerk"! But, Drew changed my mind and we were married Feb. 15, 1997. I was so nervous that I left the ring in the far end of the church and didn't notice it until the Preacher asked for the rings! LOL! Drew really changed my life more than he could ever know! He has taught me how to love unconditionally & with my whole being. I am connected to him in a way that even I can't explain......it is very overwhelming at times. I never thought that I could ever be a part of a love like this. When I am with him, my heart beats faster, I get goosebumps when he brushes my arm with his, one kiss and I'm melting like chocolate does when you place the hot marshmallow on it between two graham crackers! MMMMM S'mores.............oh yeah......back to my mushy blogging! My wonderful husband is my best friend!!! I love him more than he knows!

It's cold out there!

It's cold here.....I don't like cold!! It snowed yesterday and was around 19 degrees all day. This morning it's 12 degrees and we have a bit more snow! I don't handle cold very well as I am cold most of the time. But the snow is always fun to look at!!!

This is my youngest daughter! She is a Junior Girl Scout and as you can see.....she is up to her neck in Girl Scout cookies! This is just a small portion of what has been in my house.

Girl Scout Cookies!!!!

Well it's that time again! Yes, I am the weary Girl Scout Leader that has a houseful of cookies. It's a good thing that I don't have much furniture because I wouldn't have room for all these cookies if I did. This is my 5th year as a leader & I love it! This week I will be picking up 700 more cases of cookies for my troop to sell. Hmmmm......I think I'll take a pic of my cookie "mountain" when I get them all here. Anyways, I will try to post more regularly in the future.
